Helping the Homeless
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Nicholas House, Inc. (Nhi), and any donation will help make an impact. All donations by October 10th will be very much appreciated as this is my 13 birthday. Your donation would be an amazing gift! As a part of my Rites of Passage, I am helping those in need. You can help make this my best birthday ever! Thanks in advance for your contribution to a cause that means so much to me.
More information about Nicholas House, Inc. (Nhi): The Mission of Nicholas House, Inc. is to assist families in making the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Nicholas House understands that providing basic subsistence - food and shelter, is necessary but not sufficient to prevent most homeless persons from becoming homeless again. Nicholas House helps families address the root causes of their homelessness by offering counseling, case management, assistance with life skills and parenting, and other supportive services.
Many people in the United States are homeless. In fact, 10,443 people are homeless in Georgia. In Atlanta 25% of the population is homeless. lots of them being Minority groups. Studies have shown that minority groups are more likely to go to jail which can lead to homelessness. With a criminal record minority groups are less likely to be hired and with no income then comes poverty and homelessness. I know my $13,000 dollar goal may be ambitious but think about if we reach my goal. Since one person gaining housing for a night is $20, we can provide temporary shelter for 650 people!!! Homelessness may not be stopped by just one person trying to spread the word, but you sharing this wherever you can will help so much. Right now, many people are relaxing at home, and it isn't fair how many Americans have no home. We can do our best to end this problem in Atlanta. Please consider donating.
Thank you!
