100K Challenge for No Limits Cafe
For those that might not know me. My name is Brian Bott, I'm a coach and owner of Aspire Fitness LLC located in Colts Neck NJ.
On Saturday May 9th, I will complete a 100,000 (100k) Challenge. I'm going to break it up into 4 Events.
25k Row
25k Ski
25k Bike
25k Run
For those of you scoring at home that's FIVE, 5k's, on 4 different pieces of equipment.
My goal is to finish this in about 6 hours. I hope that in a time where so many people are struggling that it can serve as a reminder that ANYTHING is possible as long as you continue to move forward. It will certainly be a mental and physical test for me so that's why I needed a worthy organization to raise money for.
No Limit Cafe's mission is to EMPOWER adults with intellectual disabilities by providing jobs and job training to help them lead fulfilling lives within our community and to increase awareness of their potential.
I grew up most my life living with an uncle with an intellectual disability. I can only imagine the fulfillment and sense of belonging he might have have had if there was an organization like No Limit Cafe. They only just recently opened, and their amazing staff is excited to get back to work.
When I started looking for an organization, they were presented to me and when I read their recent letter I decided to give it a go.
$77 pays an employee for a days work. My goal is to raise $5000 in these efforts. That's enough to cover two employees for a month's pay. I know this time might be difficult for some of you to give. But even if it is "just a dollar" I'd love to hit this goal for them.
I thank you in advance and look forward to the challenge.
Keep Moving Forward,
Brian

While the entire world is affected by the Coronavirus, we just want to keep you updated:
We are preparing our strategic plan for reopening once this Pandemic is over. We know that many of our employees will require some retraining…which is both costly and timely. We are hoping that eventually, when there is a reduction in quarantine requirements, we can slowly add back employees for training.
Our mission stays the same, but as a small, non-profit, with a large operating budget (salaries for our employees, food costs, utilities) WE NEED YOUR HELP to make that happen.
We have had to lay off our incredible staff. Being a new business, our employees, both salaried and hourly, have not worked the length of time required by Unemployment, so they are not eligible to collect it…even under the new emergency bill that was just passed.
Our amazing employees have been so supportive, but we are receiving a lot of texts from them saying how much they miss working and asking when they can return! We wish we could answer those questions…but there is so much uncertainty right now. We know we will reopen one day.
