HELP NOAHS ARK CELEBRATE EARTH DAY EVERYDAY!
Velvet and Ted Kitzmiller and the Noah's Ark Wildlife Center have provided 24/7 care for tens of thousands of injured, ill, and orphaned wild animal patients for over 30 years and counting. They are state and federally licensed but receive no government funding. The center even stayed fully operational through the Covid 19 pandemic when most facilities, even the Asheboro Zoo wildlife hospital, closed down, with very little funding and no other volunteer help.
Tragedy struck the facility on June 12, 2022. A large tree fell on the main clinic building, severely damaging the roof, support structure, and interior walls. Noah's Ark has been effectively closed since then due to a lack of funds to cover the cost of repairs needed. In addition, the clinic needs substantial refurbishment to the building and funds to remove more trees to prevent future damage.
They need your support to re-open and continue helping wildlife patients all over North Carolina. Medical supplies, food, veterinary services, and utility costs have skyrocketed, making this an even more urgent need. There are few places to refer wildlife emergencies, and most callers return without help being found elsewhere. The clinic must be repaired as soon as possible in order to resume normal operations.
Noah's Ark Wildlife Center is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501c3 wildlife rehabilitation facility in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina. Please visit their website - noahsarkwildlife.org for even more information. Thank you very much for your help.
