Nora Rose-Hines Foundation

My name is Pat Hines and my 19-year-old daughter Nora Rose-Hines was killed in a car crash on November 29, 2018. In her short life, Nora Rose-Hines enjoyed nothing more than playing her guitar and sharing her music with others. For years she spent her summer vacations at a Guatemalan orphanage, performing her music for the children and encouraging them to explore their own creativity and build their confidence by playing the guitar.

To honor Nora and her love of music, "Guitars4Kids”, sponsored by the Nora Rose-Hines Foundation, provides guitars to children who are eager to play a guitar but cannot afford to rent or buy one.

The Nora Rose-Hines Foundation works with schools in financially challenged communities to identify students who are interested and committed to learning how to play a guitar. Students are provided with guitar lessons through an after-school program at their school site. Once the students at each individual school site are able, they will perform a guitar concert for their school.

For a donation of only $50.00, we can purchase a brand-new guitar and case for a child in need. What could be better than giving a child the gift of music?
