The Norwood Park Historical Society serves to be a leader in the community by: • Preserving the oldest house in Chicago to serve as a community resource. • Participating actively in community affairs in order to advocate for the preservation of the unique character of the Norwood Park community, including its historic architecture, open spaces and streetscapes. • Developing and maintaining a museum and historical archives related to Norwood Park, including its national register district. • Educating, informing and building awareness of the part each of us plays in the evolving history of our families, community, nation and world. • Serving as a resource for those seeking historical information about the community, its people, homes, businesses and institutions, as well as offering guidance
