Nourish KC #savethekitchen
Kansas City is a big small town. You may know that NourishKC is in jeopardy of ceasing operations. Because of this, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to transfer most of our programs to valued community partners. This decision was made to ensure that these programs are able to continue to provide the essential services that were offered through their existence. We cannot fully express our gratitude that through partnerships with like-minded organizations, these services will continue. Because the Board of Directors feels strongly that the Kansas City Community Kitchen remains the core of NourishKC, our ongoing efforts will be focused around sustaining the day-to-day operations of this, our legacy program. The Kansas City Community Kitchen serves 500 hot meals every single day. When NourishKC was founded in 1991 as Episcopal Social Services, our mission was to ensure that all people had access to hot, nourishingmeals. Our core mission remains unchanged. To that end, we will be putting all of our efforts into emphasizing a back-to-basics approach that guarantees the Kansas City Community Kitchen remains a vital and sustainable resource for our community. This renewed commitment to our legacy services will require an all hands on deck approach. We are asking you, our friends, to give what you can to assist us in meeting our goal of maintaining a welcoming place where anyone in Kansas City can get a hot, nutritious meal – a meal served in a way that builds spirit and preserves dignity. Our goal is to raise $21,000. #wearekansascity #weneedyourhelp #savethekitchen
