Old Union Church Society maintains one of Methodism's most important, historical churches and the associated cemetery. Old Union was the home church of Bishop Levi Scott, only Methodist bishop from Delaware and an advocate for African-Americans before the Civil War. This old brick church is a World Methodist Heritage site and on the National Register of Historic Places. Our Society maintains the building and holds two services per year in the "old way" - no electric or heating!
