Save Oneida Baptist Church from Closure
We are the congregation of the Oneida Baptist Church, which was started in 1843. Our current church building, built in 1888, is in desperate need of repairs due to ice and water damage over the years. We are an integral part of our community, serving meals, offering trauma recovery classes, providing meeting space for four 12-step groups, and for Girl Scout troops. We participate with other churches in our city to improve the lives of those who live in Oneida. The first $150,000.00 that we raise will be used to repoint all of the loose bricks, primarily on the buttresses, where the ice and water have loosened them. This is a safety concern not only for the building but for anyone standing or walking by the building. After that, we will continue to fundraise and apply for grants to replace our roof and add gutters to prevent the ice and water damage in the future. Ultimately, we also would like to repair and preserve our many stained glass windows, and our 1850 Trakker organ that is still mostly all original. Thank you for any donation, it all helps us to preserve our building, allowing us to remain open and serving this community and serving God!
Please help us keep our doors open and support the repairs needed and required by our Fire Department Code Inspectors. Thank you so much, and may God Bless you!
