UNITED FOR STUDENT SUCCESS CLASS OF 2022 CAMPAIGN
Did you know that, this past year, 2,700 Orange County high school students did not graduate?
Last year’s Class of 2021 e-Mentorship Program had a 100% success rate. All 285 students who enrolled graduated from our program and high school on time, and 90% felt confident about applying to or attending college.
This year, even though school is back in person, the need for additional support for our graduating seniors is still great. While students are provided the necessary technology for high school, many will begin college at a severe disadvantage.
“12% of students of color and 15% of students from lower income households lack a device to access distance learning [in California].” –The Digital Divide in Higher Education, The Education Trust-West (October 6, 2020).
Help us support students from Anaheim, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove school districts—OC communities with some of the highest populations of students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- The e-Mentorship program - 200 student mentees will be assigned to mentors to continue on the path to academic success.
- A robust virtual workshop series - Teaching essential skills to best position students for success beyond high school.
- A laptop and technology kit - To bridge the digital divide, celebrate their hard work, and support continued success.*
50% of the funds have been already raised. Reaching our goal will enable all 200 students to participate in the program.
Let’s continue to be United for Student Success℠ to ensure Orange County’s students graduate on time and are positioned for success.
*The laptop and technology kit will be provided to all students who successfully complete the e-Mentorship program and graduate high school.
