More information about Orphaned Wildlife Center, Inc: At the Orphaned Wildlife Center our goal is to provide safety and nurturing to animals that are truly orphaned and prepare them to be returned to a life in the wild. Through our efforts, we hope to encourage people to respect and enjoy our native wildlife.

Many of you that have followed us for a while know that we are constantly growing and expanding to make better habitats and environments for the animals here at our sanctuary. We currently have THREE sets of bears but only TWO enclosures.

One of those two enclosures serves a double purpose - for cubs in season, and for our resident bear use in off season (when we have no cubs). The cub enclosure has no pond (for safety of the cubs), but our main enclosure has a pond that the bears absolutely love to soak, frolic and play in.

We have a great dream of building yet a THIRD enclosure for our resident bears with ANOTHER pond. In this way our bears would not have to SHARE time outside...all three sets of bears could be out or in as long as they wanted. We are begging our followers and donors to help us fulfill this dream and create the third and final needed habitat. We want what is BEST for the bears here. If they can not live in the wild, then we want to create environements as close to that as we can!

No one here takes a salary, every donation goes directly to the animals. And we do ALL the work ourselves. So we can really keep costs down and ensure that it is all done to the best standards and safety levels.
