Our Pigs Need A New House - Matching Campaign
Our Pigs Need A New House & We Need Your Help!
A Matching Campaign
A generous donor has offered to cover half the cost of a new pig house if we can raise the other half!
If you’ve been to Out To Pasture lately, you’ve seen the old pig barns are looking rather, well… past their prime. Our pigs are in dire need of a new, secure, updated barn. Will you help us give them the new house they deserve?
More information: There are two small houses for 4 very large pigs and scattered smaller ones for the potbellies. The big pig pen is also on the lowest spot on the property, causing the area to flood and become a mud pool much of the year. We have researched what can be done to improve mud control, and part of that is moving their area. We will also be taking other measures when building the house to improve the mud situation. The houses also are very small, not tall enough for a person to stand in. All of the pigs are entering middle age and it is important that they are able to have a vet or caretaker come visit, examine and take care of their needs in there.
If we can raise $8499, our kind-hearted anonymous donor will donate the remainder & Barbie, Skipper, Poppy, Paprika, and all their friends will have a new house!
Will you spare a bit to help? Any amount small or large is greatly appreciated. You can also join our Patreon and become a monthly donor. We are counting Patreon donations toward the total in the months that the fundraiser is going on. Patreon.com/otpsanctuary
Out to Pasture Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 nonprofit vegan, farmed animal sanctuary. Our primary goal is the care and feeding of abused, neglected or abandoned animals including large farm animals, pigs, rabbits, chickens, cats, and dogs. Many of our animals have been rescued from slaughter and animal testing labs. Out to Pasture relies on donations to give these animals the lifetime sanctuary they deserve.
Barbie sleeping outside because Poppy and Skipper were using the house. Paprika must have been in the other one.
From all of us at Out to Pasture, a tremendous THANK YOU for your support! None of this would be possible without you!
