Pacific Wildlife Project

The Emerald Fire (2.11.22 in Laguna Beach, CA) burned right up to the edge of our Sanctuary in North Laguna.  Volunteers fought the fire from just feet away from the flames, and as a result of their bravery, and the wonderful support from a huge crew of firefighters, no people and no animals were lost. But, flight cages, habitat for the animals, a critical landscape buffer and necessary tools and supplies were damaged or ruined. Help us make repairs so we can continue to protect vulnerable animals.

More information about Pacific Wildlife Project : PWP is dedicated to the conservation and protection of wildlife through hands-on rescue and medical help for distressed wild birds and mammals impacted by displacement, loss of habitat, toxins, man-made hazards and acts of cruelty. All species are treated lovingly by volunteers through recovery and returned to the wild. PWP assists all animals in need and conducts community programs, aids agencies and distributes publications to foster conservation and a humane ethic towards wildlife and all animals.

The Eco-Sustainability Center (also know as The Straw House) is a unique artistic structure made completely out of sustainable & recycled materials. Located in Laguna Canyon, the straw house is known for its extravagant design and resourcefulness for using local materials.

The project is about 85% on its way to completion to be used as a hub for community, artists, sustainability, & wellness practices. Environmental stewardship is our core value - we incorporate native & fire-resistant landscaping, composting, beekeeping, permaculture, and animal care. Our mission is to provide hands-on transformative experiences that promote natural living, healing, and sustainability.

The project is under threat of being bulldozed and needs to be bought out in full by our non-profit organization. With $1 million currently raised, our funding needs are already over 50% of the way there. With your help we can finish the project and give the community a wonderful space to create and learn.
