Now more than ever, we know how impactful Pack for a Purpose travelers will be when it is again safe to travel. More people will want to make positive impacts in the communities they visit. Pack for a Purpose will be ready when that happens.

Now more than ever, we need to make a sustained effort to assist those in need everywhere. In observance of World Tourism Day, we take this opportunity to make sure that tourism continues to be a positive force in the world.

Now more than ever, the projects sponsored by Pack for a Purpose participants will be even more critical in helping meet urgent community needs. At Pack for a Purpose, we are maintaining contact with our participants so we can provide the most accurate and current information possible.

The award-winning globally recognized nonprofit Pack for a Purpose assists travelers who want to take meaningful contributions to the destinations they visit. The website provides current needs lists for over 500 projects in more than 60 countries. Since 2010 travelers have taken over 194,140 kgs (427,108  pounds) of supplies, meeting essential needs for community projects around the globe. Supported projects include education, health, child welfare, animal welfare, and socio-economic development.

When Pack for a Purpose went live on the web in December 2009, there were 29 participants in 15 countries. Now, in 2019, Pack for a Purpose has over 430 Participants in over 60 countries around the world. Pack for a Purpose has been an all-volunteer organization but is now trying to become fully sustainable and hire two full-time employees to manage the website and expand its outreach. All funds donated will be used in the sustainability drive.
