Pancreatic Cancer Cure Foundation

My brother Matt Ragan, son Patrick Ragan and myself Paul Ragan are coordinating a fundraiser to fight pancreatic cancer. Matt and I are going to shave our heads, and Patrick is cutting his hair to donate to wigs for kids. We are going to do it on my brother Timmy's anniversary, December 14th, 2020. This disease has affected our family several times and we would like to donate funds to help find a cure for this horrible disease. My boss, Councilman Bobby Henon, is sponsoring this for us and is donating the first $100 to kick off our campaign. All money donated is going to pancreatic cancer research.

We are holding this event at Unique Cuts on 2909 Holme Avenue and we will stream it live on Facebook. Please help with our cause by donating through our GoFundMe page. We are asking for contributions from friends, family or anyone who would has anything to spare, to help us support finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.

This donation fundraiser is in honor of my mother who recently passed away on August 27th due to pancreatic cancer. She had been fighting pancreatic cancer for a little over 2 and a half years and right before she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January of 2018 she had fought breast cancer. She was the strongest person I knew who fought through so much to be around for as long as she could. To see her granddaughter be born, to see her last son graduate highschool. She went through so much over the past 5 years. I want to use my platform to raise money and awareness for all cancers but specifically pancreatic cancer this time around. One of the deadliest cancers out there.

In our 1st four years we've donated more than $130,000 towards our mission. Of this amount, approx $110,000 has been directed to support early & aggressive pancreatic cancer research at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University; an NCI designed facility & one of the leading pancreatic cancer institutions nationally. The remaining $20,000 was allocated to pancreatic cancer patient support.
