Help Resilience Leadership Academy Transform the Lives of At-Risk Youth
Through Faith and Recovery
Every year, countless young students in Liberty County and surrounding Texas communities face extraordinary challenges. Many are expelled from traditional schools because of drug-related issues—with a rising crisis fueled by fentanyl and THC vaping damaging young minds and futures. These students, often vulnerable and overlooked, deserve a second chance—an opportunity to heal, learn, and grow.
Resilience Leadership Academy (RLA) is a Christ-centered educational initiative dedicated to serving students in grades 6-12 who have been expelled primarily for drug-related offenses. We are not just a school; we are a community where faith meets recovery and education. Our program integrates rigorous academics with specialized behavioral health support and leadership development rooted in Christian principles. Our goal is to foster resilience, rebuild hope, and propel students toward lifelong success.
Why RLA Matters
- Over 1000's students in our region have been placed in alternative programs due to substance use related issues.
- The number of expulsions tied to fentanyl and vaping is increasing rapidly—with devastating impacts on adolescent brain development and academic achievement.
- Traditional disciplinary programs often fail to provide the recovery support these students desperately need.
RLA fills this critical gap by combining evidence-based behavioral health interventions, trauma-informed care, and a faith-based curriculum that nurtures the whole student—academic mind, emotional heart, and spiritual soul. Our approach is grounded in research and proven strategies to promote sustained recovery, cognitive healing, and educational achievement.
Our Vision and Growth Plan
We are launching three campuses to address this urgent need:
- A therapeutic boarding school for students needing intensive recovery and residential support
- A transition private school campus helping students reintegrate and recover
- Elementary and secondary campuses offering rigorous classical Christian education alongside recovery supports
We aim to fully serve 1,000 students within five years, starting with small classes to provide personalized attention and wraparound care.
