Help Key Heal: Support His Medical Care
Hi Everyone :)
This is Key, Pawsome Squad & I rescued him late January from the Queens ACC after he was there for 150 days. I previously had Key on a borough break (this is when you can take the shelter animals on a day-long field trip).
When Key first came to me on our borough break, he was having a severe dermatitis flare-up, which is the reason he was surrendered in the first place. His previous family couldn't afford treatment. I could tell Key was in an extreme amount of discomfort (photos attached of this flare-up) & that he had to get out of the shelter.
Key is a beautiful pittie bulldog mix & 2 years old. He has a heart of gold, hes kind, crate trained, and really the sweetest angel.
Now that Key is in our care & we have gotten him all the medical care he was in dire need of, he was prescribed antibiotics, a steroid, and Apoquel. I am happy to announce he is finally healing and feeling much, much better.
Key's vet bill, including the Apoquel, has totaled up to $500, and we are continuously raising funds to make sure he is set for the rest of his time in our care. He will need monthly checkups & blood drawn to make sure he is handling the Apoquel well on a daily basis.
As always, any & all help is appreciated. Key is such a special dog and we are so happy he is finally out of the shelter for the rest of his LIFE. I am so glad I was able to give him a second chance, he is worth it :).
