Hi Friends, it’s me, Jamil Morrar. Today’s my birthday but I’m not celebrating. The genocide happening in Gaza is heart wrenching…

World leaders have let us down by allowing the genocide of the Palestinian people continue to take place. I want to take action to support my Palestinian people.

I’ll be setting a goal to fundraise $2,000. As a thank you to all, I’ll be matching that $2,000 donation with my own money.

All the money collected will be going directly to Pious Projects - an organization I fully trust. They are currently working inside of Gaza.

These emergency funds will be used for medical support, food baskets, hot meals, water, family relief, and any other pressing matters seen fit by their on-ground teams.

What if someone told you that you will not be able to see tomorrow?  How would you feel?  How would you cherish your eyesight?  

Unfortunately, in Ethiopia, due to cataracts, thousands of individuals are completely blind.  Cataracts is a disease  that clouds the vision leaving people often blind.  With Cataracts their is a small window where you are able to remove the cataracts and see perfectly once again.  However, if the cataracts isn't removed during the window of time, the patient will stay permanently blind.    

In developed countries it is very easy to fix this with a simple surgery.  However, in Ethiopia, these surgeries are difficult to get and often times never offered in the rural areas.  Therefore, Pious Projects and Muslims of the World (two non profits based in America) partnered up and brought a team of doctors to a very rural part of Ethiopia (Warobe) to give surgeries.  Each surgery cost is $150 which removes the cataracts from their eyes and they go from being completely blind to seeing.  It is an incredible project with an incredible result.  

Think of how you can change someone's life completely!  Vision is a blessing from God and today you can sponsor one person or several people to give them their vision back.  The chances of these individuals ever getting this surgery on their own is almost little to zero.  Our teams are in Ethiopia now and with your donation we will be able to show the results of this amazing project by giving our brothers and sisters their vision back again.

Breakdown of Donations:

The total Ethiopian eye camp is costing $65,000.  This amount is the cost for doctors, transportation, supplies, media and marketing.  All of these costs were covered by Pious Projects.  Pious Projects does several eye camps so any additional amount over the $65,000 will be going towards the next eye camp.  Thank you so much for your donations may God reward you all!  All donations are tax deductible as Pious Projects is a 501c3.  

Once the camp is done, Pious Projects will notify us with how many patients were served as well as more coverage footage of the camp.
