Riding a bike is a rite of passage for a child, think back...remember when you were a child and the joy you felt when you rode your bike for the first time with the training wheels off, the excitement you felt when you got off your bike and ran to mom and dad yelling I did it, I did it!
This is why we do what we do. We want to give that feeling to children with disabilities who might not have gotten to experience that joy. Last year with your help we were able to give adaptive bikes to 6 children battling cancer thanks to our generous supporters.

In 2022, we provided 4 Adaptive Cycling Clinics through our Veterans Cycling Initiative. They were held at VA Medical Centers throughout the Midwest. Our goal was to get injured service members off the couch or out of the hospital & onto a bike. We helped over 120 wounded veterans get back on a bike after their injuries.
We also provided our Adaptive Bike Days for children at hospitals, schools & therapy centers. This is the first time most of these children experienced riding an adaptive bike, even if it is just for a day.
Lastly, so far this year we have given 12 bikes away through our Adaptive Bike Giveaway. We were able to give the freedom of mobility to Cooper (8), Laith (9), Jacob (12), Gabriel (9), Theo (5), Liberty (13), Henry (7), Matthew (3), Bryce (11), Joshua (16), Logan (7) and David (8). These children all had some type of special need. They were born with some type of disability, autism, cancer to gunshot victims.

A bit of background about Project Mobility:
We were formed as a nonprofit organization in 2002 by Hal Honeyman. Hal’s son is a triplet born 3 months premature and ended up with Cerebral Palsy. This set Hal on a mission to find a way for his son Jacob to ride a bike with his family.
Hal did just that, he found a bike that Jacob could ride. What started out as a mission to get Jacob a bike over 20 years ago has changed the lives of thousands of children, adults, and wounded veterans with disabilities.
Riding a bike may sound like such a simple activity, but to those with mobility challenges (along with a hefty price tag) it makes it nearly impossible for them to enjoy the freedom of mobility without our help.
These specialized bikes create a sense of freedom for someone with a disability. Our bikes restore a sense of possibility and ability to those who are often told by society that their life is about limitations.
We help change that, but we can only do that with your help!
