We have distributed 10,000 coasters and 2,000 wristbands and other resources to help raise awareness of the 988 life line. We're just getting started and need your generous donation which will allow us to distribute even more life saving resources throughout our community.

The Positive Pursuit and iHeartMedia have come together to create a campaign to help inform our local community and its visitors of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. “988” is the three-digit, nationwide phone number to connect directly to the 24/hr 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988lifeline.org). By calling or texting 988, you’ll connect with a mental health professional within seconds!

These three digits can save lives, but we need to work together as a community to spread the message of this lifesaving resource! When you click on that donate button you will become a merchant of hope!!!

All money collected will go towards a marketing campaign focused on the Atlantic/Cape County area to spread awareness of this free 24/hr. lifesaving resource!

We're hosting another Thanksgiving "Cornhole for a Cause" Benefit. We had a packed house last year. Details will be posted soon, but save the date on Sat Nov 30th from 12-4 pm to have some fun and join in our crusade!!

The holidays can be an extremely tough time for families struggling with food and housing insecurity. The time of year that is meant to be happiest, can be a source of pain for those who can't give their loved ones everything they want and need.

 

Our goal is to provide gifts of clothing, toys, food, and essentials to make the winter holidays a magical time for vulnerable families in our community.

About Project Starfish:

Inspired by the story below, Project Starfish was created to provide resources and find solutions to end homelessness through outreach efforts in our communities. It matters to this one!


Once there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day he was walking along the shore and noticed someone in the distance. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"

The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean."

"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"

"The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean, past the breaking waves and said - "It made a difference for that one."

We can all make a difference, no matter how big or small our efforts. Remember: It matters to this one.
