Project Strong NMD Summer Camp
Who we are
Project Strong is a non profit dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults living with neuromuscular diseases, by providing educational programs, activities and events that meet their needs. We aim to help them find their own unique strengths that stretch beyond their physical abilities.
What we're doing
We need your help to raise money for our Summer Camp this year! Our Summer Camp is an overnight getaway camp that will run from August 2nd-4th in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. This Camp is available to those living with neuromuscular diseases ages 7-17. For safety and comfort all our Campers will be paired up with their own well trained volunteer. Our Camp is run by volunteers with decades of experience attending muscular dystrophy camps and medical professionals experienced in cares and equipment use specific to our campers.
Campers will take part in a variety of tailored activities that are not only therapeutic but fun, including:
-Swimming
-Fishing
-Arts and crafts
-Gaming tournaments
-Talent show
-Dances
Costs
100% of donations will go towards sponsoring campers, volunteers and camp expenses including:
-Lodging
-Meals
-Activity supplies
-Transportation
-Medical supplies
-Event costs
Why
Summer Camp is the best time of the year for all involved! It's an opportunity for our campers to feel free to be themselves, participate in challenging and creative activities, and be social in a fun and supportive environment. It gives parents and caregivers much needed respite for all the work they do caring for their child the rest of the year. And it gives volunteers precious insight into what it's like to live with a neuromuscular disease as well as make a lifelong friend.

A donation of $60 can cover the cost of lodging for one attendee
A donation of $150 can cover the cost of food
A donation of $200 can cover the cost of activities and transportation needs
A donation of $600 can cover the full stay for one attendee
