Protecting K9 Heroes NFP Ltd

K-9 Loki and his handler were injured when another car blew through an intersection causing the Deputy to swerve to avoid hitting the car. The patrol vehicle crashed into a utility pole, flipped over, and the back door was ripped off. K-9 Loki was thrown from the patrol vehicle and suffered a life threatening injury including a possible broken neck. He is scheduled for surgery today with the specialist. His handler is recovering with non-life threatening injuries. The bond between this team is unbelievable, and Loki is like a child to him. We are raising funds to offset all medical costs for for this department.

K9 Dante was injured while on duty early Friday morning.  While on break, Dante and his handler were playing ball and as Dante chased the ball he subsequently crashed into a metal object leaving him almost lifeless.  The damage to his #2 and #3 vertebra are pressing on his spinal cord and he needs immediate surgery with a neurologist. The police department does not have funding for this nor is this something that is ever budgeted for. We have been asked to step in and help get K9 Dante the surgery he needs immediately.  Please consider donating whatever you can so that together, we can help K9 Dante. We do not know what the total cost of surgery will be as it is a weekend and it is a very cautious and in-depth surgery.  We don’t want to ask for too much or too little. We have been told to expect upwards of $10,000 and we will start there.
