Wilshire Crest Garden Education Program
Over the last 16 years, students, families and community volunteers at our school have removed more than 11,000 square feet of hot, dry asphalt, and transformed a large section of our campus into a beautiful green teaching garden, where every student in the school now studies with a teacher from the non-profit Garden School Foundation to learn about science, food, health and nutrition.
But the Garden School Foundation program, including the services of our beloved garden teacher, costs more than $10,000 per year, which is not part of the school's regular operating budget. To help with the cost, the Wilshire Crest PTA has committed to raising 50% of the garden program's cost each year through a variety of fundraising activities. But we could use even more help to reach our goal.
Please consider a contribution — of whatever amount you can afford — to help us keep this wonderful, healthy program at our school, for the benefit of all our students.
Your support will mean so much to all of our students!
