Pure Mutts Animal Sanctuary

Paradise Lost - Hurricane Beryl destroyed the little paradise we had built for our special needs, older, hospice dogs. What took over 17 years to build, it destroyed in a few hours. We have so much damage. So many large downed trees, downed fences, damaged play pens and cabins. Instead of paradise, it feels like 2 acres of war zone where mother nature won the war.

We need help to rebuild. We need tools, we need supplies, we need resources, we need manpower, we need volunteers.

Please help if you can. Every little bit will help. Drops can fill an ocean. We know so many others are in need too. We hate to ask but this time we can't do it alone. Damage is too extensive and rebuilding is going to be very expensive. But rebuild we will. Our dogs deserve it. They are resilient and in spite of all the destruction all around them, they are showing us love and grace and how life goes on. With our dogs by our side, we will rebuild. With you by our side, we will rebuild.

Our estimates for repairs and rebuilding right now are over $50,000. We would like to first clean up and build the fences back so dogs can have a free range again. Then we will start on the internal damage.

In case you are wondering who am I. My name is Priyanka. An immigrant from India who moved here 30 years ago. And this country accepted me and gave me the opportunity to be me and thrive. 17 years ago I started Pure Mutss Sanctuary for the dogs that are usually over looked at the shelter and are hardest to adopt due to their age or medical condition etc. Pure Mutts is a cage free sanctuary where dogs come to live rest of their life. It is their forever home.
