My name is Peggie and I am the founder/owner of Purring Angels. We are a registered 501C3. I started out rescuing a mama cat and 5 newborn babies after a rental moved out and left them behind outside to find for themselves in the neighborhood. I then acquired about 20 more cats within a month. This was 7 years ago. Since then, I have trapped, neutered, spayed vaccinated and rehabilitated more than 400 cats in the last 7 years. We moved into our new facility 3.5 years ago and are having to do major repairs to the building and zoo like enclosure that hold 76 cats currently. We have taken more than 90% of the cats off the streets in our town and homed about 70% of them. I also work full time and have 4 volunteers that help feed and care for the 76 resident cats. We spend 1000.00 just in catfood each month that comes mainly from my pocket. WE NEED YOUR HELP. We can't continue the way we have been and be able to help anymore cats or residents with spay or neuter and vaccination needs. We can barely stay a float with the ones we have. Asking for $5,000.00 is actually on the low side of what we need. There are now many cats that are reproducing and throwing our hard work out the door. We need to trap and fix these cats on top of our daily operating needs, repairs and medical care fir these cats. Any help would be greatly appreciated by us and our felines.
