Rescued Bunny Blaze Needs Surgery
Blaze urgently needs your help!
Blaze was rescued from a terrible situation where he was being used as a magic show prop. He was living in filthy conditions often without access to food or water. Blaze is underweight, has old injuries to his face, and for most of his life no one even noticed his badly broken leg.
Blaze's leg is irreparable, and our vet has recommended amputation to give him back a pain-free life and the ability to run and play once again. Blaze has no control over this leg, so if he tries to move too quickly, he gets tripped up by it swinging underneath his body and dragging behind him. It keeps him from both moving freely and keeping himself clean. Left unattended to, it would only cause more problems for Blaze in the future, and more pain.
Despite all he has been through, little Blaze is so affectionate and spirited. He wants so badly to run, explore, and play. Rabbits do very well on three legs, and the future will be bright for this deserving little one once he receives the necessary veterinary care.
We are a small all-volunteer rabbit rescue group with many special-needs, chronically ill, and sanctuary rabbits. We take in many injured rabbits so they can have a chance at a brighter future. In order to care for these rabbits, we rely on donations. Please help by contributing towards Blaze's costly veterinary expenses. He is so deserving of love, good care, and a peaceful life.
