RV Little League Flood Recovery
On June 20, 2019 RV Little League was dealt a blow, when torrential rain caused flooding to Mount Holly Township. RVLL fields are located by Rancocas creek, which caused the league to have severe flooding. Not only were most of the fields under water but so were storage boxes containing field equipment; a buliding housing mowers, field equipment and restrooms; and our concession stand with refrigerators, freezers, a dishwasher, food, cabinetry, spirit wear, loads of player equipment(baseballs, helmets, bats, catchers gear etc.) , a PA system, hot water heater, restrooms and more field equipment. Unfortunately, everything has been damaged and RV Little League needs to rebuild.
RV Little League has been operational since 1953, on these fields baseball fundamentals, team work, community bonds, lasting friendships and the love of baseball, has enriched local youth and their families. We would love to continue to cultivate this sense of community, for future generations, however, being a non-profit, it is hard to come up with the funds to replace everything that we lost, and only can do so with your help.
With funds donated we hope to be able to replace equipment that was lost, field equipment, mowers, sports equipment, appliances, etc. as well as tear out and replace walls and cabinets.
A little can go a long way, so whatever you can do will be much appreciated, even if its just sharing this page!
"Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday's success or put its failures behind and start over again. That's the way life is, with a new game every day, and that's the way baseball is." -Bob Feller, Cleveland Indians
