KUZU - Support Community Radio in Denton!
KUZU 92.9 LPFM in Denton, TX is raising funds to support our continued efforts to be a public forum for artistic expression, music, debate, and local affairs. We are Denton's only nonprofit community radio station, and broadcast unique programming terrestrially and digitally. We have been on the air since July 2017, and are celebrating our 3rd year in 2020!
We typically host quarterly concert events to fundraise for the radio station and support local musicians, artists, and creatives. In lieu of in-person/live events this year, we are hosting our Revolution 3 in 3D : a 2 day event featuring a Drive-In Movie Triple Feature on Friday September 18, and a Livestream Concert Broadcast on Saturday September 19. Enjoy art, music, and community from the safety of your car, couch, or safely distanced.
We have sustained in 2020 thanks to our dedicated supporting members, underwriters, and our 60+ station and producer volunteers. Producers have continued to dedicate thousands of hours to curate original and unique programming for KUZU listeners. And our KUZUthon Membership Drive in February helped us grow our Membership base that helps sustain the station.
Now, we are reaching out to our community for extra help as we continue our mission to provide a designated public arena for artistic expression, music, debate, discussion, announcements, and other public affairs and services.
With the help and support of the community at large, we hope to make KUZU Denton’s own radio station for generations to come.
