Rescue Dog Shot at Rescue
911! Please share and help us! My name is Lisa Hitchcock, director of Rescue Pups. Yesterday (11.4.2017) our rescue came under attack, and Clooney (one of the sweetest dogs you will ever know) is now changed forever.
A hunter who camps next door to Rescue Pups shot Clooney with his bow and arrow, aiming to kill her, as she was barking on our fence line. This happened within feet of where I was standing, so I witnessed the mayhem and her awful, heartbreaking screams. The police came, and the shooter was arrested and jailed. Thankfully, Dr. Shemp and Kelly saw her after hours to remove the arrow and wrap her leg. Her tibia and fibula are shattered to pieces, and she is to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon in Orchard Park on Monday. This practice will require payment up front, and, as we are a small, home-based rescue that barely gets by, without help we are in trouble. Last night's appointment alone was $636.00. I have swallowed my pride, and have set up a gofundme page in hopes that we can save this girl's leg and life. You can also donate on Paypal. Can you please help?
