The Runway of Dreams @ Duke chapter, founded in 2019, works to empower people with disabilities on the runway and to advance the future of adaptive design and innovation. The Runway of Dreams at the University of Michigan is excited to be hosting our 2nd annual (Virtual) Runway Adaptive Show on February 14, 2021.

Focused on initiating a fashion revolution, the Runway of Dreams Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works towards a future of inclusion, acceptance and opportunity in the fashion industry and supports charitable initiatives to broaden the reach of adaptive clothing. Leading the "Campaign for Inclusion" to raise awareness and bridge the gap between people with disabilities and the fashion industry is where our individual chapter comes into play. The purpose of our club at the University of Michigan is to increase awareness, support people with disabilities in our local community and beyond, and raise funds to help fuel the Foundation's mission. We are excited to be partnering with Zappos Adaptive and Seven7 Jeans to showcase functional and fashionable products to make life easier for those with disabilities.

We understand these times are difficult. The donations we receive are directly used to help contribute to programs like ours at the University of Michigan and other universities nationwide. The Runway of Dreams Foundation Clubs at Duke University and North Carolina State University are working together to host an inaugural fashion show on February 11th. The Runway of Dreams Foundation works toward a future of inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity in the fashion industry. The clubs will be hosting a fashion show highlighting students and community members who are differently-abled modeling clothing donated by Zappos Adaptive whilst maintaining RODF's main mission of inclusion in the fashion industry.

Runway of Dreams is a nonprofit organization that works toward a future of inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity in the fashion industry. Our goal at Livingston High School is to raise awareness and support for people with disabilities in our local community. We will be hosting a CDC-compliant fashion show with models from Livingston High School, Heritage and Monmouth School. Zappos Adaptive and Seven7 Jeans have partnered with us and are providing functional and fashionable products that make life easier for those with disabilities. After we complete our show, this virtual premiere will be available to the public on May 16th. Please help support local Livingston models and the Runway of Dreams organization!

Runway of Dreams Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works toward a future of inclusion, acceptance and opportunity in the fashion industry for people with disabilities.

One billion people worldwide experience some form of disability. Since adaptive apparel is so underrepresented in mainstream fashion, it is difficult for many to find clothing that meets both their physical needs and personal style. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident in clothing they love, despite their shape, size, or ability. 

As interns, our goal is to raise money to provide new adaptive apparel through wardrobe grants to people with disabilities who are in economic need. Clothing equals confidence, and your contribution will help provide it. Please donate here to make a difference in someone’s life.

Due to the pandemic, and in preparation for Runway of Dream’s September NYFW Show, the summer interns are working hard to create a completely virtual adaptive fashion show called “Record the Runway” that will air August 4th at 8pm EST! Tune in to meet our spectacular models, hear their stories, learn how adaptive apparel is impacting their lives, and how it can benefit people with disabilities around the world.
