About S.P.O.T.

SPOT's mission is to provide the Skagit Valley and surrounding areas an alternative method of caring for and adopting out companion animals. Our organization, which is made up of all volunteers, strives to provide an alternative adoption option without the fear of having to euthanize healthy and adoptable pets.SPOT requires all animals to be spayed or neutered prior to being placed in a permanent home. This policy is essential in reducing the number of homeless pets within our community. In addition, all cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS and all pets are microchipped prior to adoption. SPOT does not have a central facility house the animals.Instead we rely on foster homes to provide a safe haven for the animals until they are placed in permanent loving homes. Foster homes provide one on one daily care, socialization, training, and get to know the personality of the individual animal for better placement.
