The new Hickory Aviation Museum 53,000 sq-ft museum hangar construction is nearly complete after the groundbreaking in October 2023. The majority of our historic aircraft that have been on display outside for years will require cosmetic restoration before moving them inside and we are raising funds to help offset the expenses. Funds will also be used to creating new displays and preparing long stored artifacts for display in the new facility, creating educational programs, and purchasing the necessary operational equipment needed to run this new state of the art facility. 100% of the donations go directly back into the museum, the entire staff are comprised of volunteers who freely give back to the community with their time and expertise to ensure a first-rate museum visit for all of our guests! The Restoration Team is working diligently and the aircraft that are finished are amazing, but there is plenty of work left to complete.

The aircraft has been disassembled and transported from Rhode Island to Hickory, North Carolina and still needs to be reassembled and fully restored back to its A-6E Intruder glory! We are asking for funds to help us restore this important piece of history as we continually add to the Museum and preserve and educate the public about military aviation history!
