Please join Pittsburgh Rowing Club on Saturday, March 20th, from 8-10 AM, for our first-ever Virtual Erg-A-Thon! 

The goal is for you to row as many meters as possible over 2 hours, while supporting an important cause! You may choose to row intervals of meters or time, with water and stretching breaks, or erg continuously for the entire 2 hours. Whatever way you decide to reach the goal is up to you!  

The Salvation Army will be the recipient of the funds raised from the Erg-A-Thon. During these unprecedented times, our intention is to support a community in need by contributing to an organization that reaches out to people around the world. 

The Salvation Army is a highly-respected, international organization dedicated to meeting human needs without discrimination. There is no cost to participate in the Erg-A-Thon, so 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the Salvation Army.

We count myself lucky this year, we have jobs, a house and a car. However for many 2020 has been the worst year of their lives. For some, getting Christmas gifts for their children will take a back seat to putting food on their table.

How can we help? For every $1 donated to this page between now and 12/20 Sam and I will ride 1 mile on our bike the week of 12/21-12/25 (up to 250 miles - sorry we're not in THAT good of shape). We will also match the first $250 that comes in. To reach our goal of $500!

All money raised will go to The Salvation Army to help families in need this Christmas. If you’re lucky enough to be able to donate this year, any amount helps.

At Spectrum headquarters on Monday, September 14 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., we will give back to our community by handing out food, chainsaw oil, ice, hand sanitizer, and other essentials at no cost to anyone who needs them. If you’ve been affected by Hurricane Laura or no someone who has, please join us to receive your no-cost relief supplies.
