Hi, my name is Gauge, and I recently attended a CIY (Christ in Youth) conference where I received a Kingdom Worker Card challenge. My mission is to raise $1,000 and spread awareness for Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian organization that brings physical help and the hope of Jesus to people facing disasters, war, poverty, and crisis all around the world.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward Samaritan’s Purse projects—like disaster relief, clean water, emergency medical aid, and Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. This is about more than just raising money—it’s about showing love in action and making a real impact in people’s lives.

Owner Todd Rutledge is pledging to match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 towards relief. All donations will then be given to Samaritan's Purse International Relief, where 100% of donations will then be allocated to the U.S. Disaster Relief Fund.

Western NC experienced a lot of devastation at the hands of Hurricane Helene. We're a Country Music podcast based in NC, and we care about our home state and wanted to assist in the disaster relief.

We're asking you to help us raise funds ($10,000 Goal) to donate directly to Boone, NC-based non-profit Samaritan's Purse to help with the recovery efforts.

Hi there!

My name is Caitlin and I'm living in Royersford, PA with my husband and daughter. Having a number of beautiful trails and parks in our area, walking is a part of our family routine. But I wanted to make the miles I walk mean something more.

With friends and colleagues who live in areas heavily impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, I wanted to raise money to help them rebuild their communities. An organization called Samaritan's Purse was recommended to me by a coworker of mine who lives in South Carolina, and he said that they are doing a lot of great work to help local communities in the wake of the devastation. After doing some research, I felt they would be a worthy beneficiary of my fundraising efforts.

So here is my plan. I am challenging myself to walk 120 miles over the next two months (November 1 - December 31) to raise money for Samaritan's Purse.

Your pledges will be multiplied by the number of miles I complete, so keep that in mind! Every mile counts and your donations will go directly toward helping victims reclaim their lives. I appreciate anyone who feels inclined to contribute, but you can also support this effort by walking with me! I will share a schedule of where I'm walking so if you want to join, the more the merrier!

I will provide updates on my progress at the end of each week (hopefully more frequently!) so that you can see how many miles I've walked! AND, so that nobody thinks I'm cheating ;), I will also upload screenshots of my Fitbit account and you can see exactly how many miles I've walked. The extra challenge is that it has to be a dedicated walk, whether that be on a treadmill or outside on the trail. Doing laundry doesn't count!

I hope to use this opportunity to build active habits, spend time with my family and friends, and make a difference for those who really need it.

It's Getting Dangerously Cold, and Christmas Time is Here.

Dear friends,

As many of you know, Western North Carolina has been devastated by the recent hurricane, leaving families, homes, and communities in ruins. The damage is heartbreaking—and as if the storm wasn’t enough, it’s getting dangerously cold in the mountains. With winter setting in and Christmas time just around the corner, many are facing not only the loss of their homes but the added threat of freezing temperatures.

This holiday season, we have an urgent opportunity to help. Our neighbors need us more than ever. They are without power, shelter, and the basic necessities that we often take for granted, especially during the holidays. But together, we can make sure that no one has to face this winter alone.

Every donation, big or small, will provide immediate relief: warm clothing, blankets, food, clean water, and medical supplies. It will also help provide safe shelter, restore homes, and support the long-term recovery efforts in this beautiful but now battered region.

Hello, lately I have felt a weight on my chest watching the news coverage of the aftermath of hurricane Helene. Please donate what you can to help those in need. As a people, we need to stand together and help one another in times of need. All money collected will go to Samaritan's Purse which is an organization based in North Carolina. Samaritan's Purse was also one of the groups that helped our very own community after the dam failure in 2020 that resulted in the destruction of many homes in Midland, Sanford, and the surrounding communities.
