Samaritan's Purse

Hello!

We are raising funds for The Samaritan Purse in support of Operation Christmas Child. This operation sends christmas gift boxes to under privileged countries during the holiday season. Item donation boxes have been placed in SQs around bases (LRS, 351 SWTS, 58 SOW, Dental) as well as in the main lobby of the Exchange. In addition to the item donations, we are asking for cash donations to fund the shipping of these items. Each donation box cost $10 to ship, to meet our current goal of 120 boxes we are hoping to raise at least $1,200. This Go Fund Me event is set up as a charity, meaning all proceeds will go diectly to Samaritan Purse through the site.

Hello Everyone-

As I’m sure you have all seen, Western North Carolina has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Many people I know are struggling without water, electric, and the ability to leave their homes. One of my colleagues lost her barn.

I would like to do what I can to be of service to my friends and colleagues. I’m asking for any donations you can share.

Our Life Group has filled 60 boxes with school supplies, soccer balls, dolls, clothes, shoes, hygiene items, and fun things for boys and girls around the world.

Operation Christmas Child helps to show Jesus’ love to these children. It costs $10 per box to ship the boxes to foreign countries.

Contributions to benefit the Helene weather event impacted people of Western Carolina

Hi there!

My name is Caitlin and I'm living in Royersford, PA with my husband and daughter. Having a number of beautiful trails and parks in our area, walking is a part of our family routine. But I wanted to make the miles I walk mean something more.

With friends and colleagues who live in areas heavily impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, I wanted to raise money to help them rebuild their communities. An organization called Samaritan's Purse was recommended to me by a coworker of mine who lives in South Carolina, and he said that they are doing a lot of great work to help local communities in the wake of the devastation. After doing some research, I felt they would be a worthy beneficiary of my fundraising efforts.

So here is my plan. I am challenging myself to walk 120 miles over the next two months (November 1 - December 31) to raise money for Samaritan's Purse.

Your pledges will be multiplied by the number of miles I complete, so keep that in mind! Every mile counts and your donations will go directly toward helping victims reclaim their lives. I appreciate anyone who feels inclined to contribute, but you can also support this effort by walking with me! I will share a schedule of where I'm walking so if you want to join, the more the merrier!

I will provide updates on my progress at the end of each week (hopefully more frequently!) so that you can see how many miles I've walked! AND, so that nobody thinks I'm cheating ;), I will also upload screenshots of my Fitbit account and you can see exactly how many miles I've walked. The extra challenge is that it has to be a dedicated walk, whether that be on a treadmill or outside on the trail. Doing laundry doesn't count!

I hope to use this opportunity to build active habits, spend time with my family and friends, and make a difference for those who really need it.

Legendary Homes Inc., located in both Clarklake and Lansing, Michigan, is setting up this GoFundMe account to donate to the hurricane victims of Helena and Milton.

Owner Todd Rutledge is pledging to match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 towards relief. All donations will then be given to Samaritan's Purse International Relief, where 100% of donations will then be allocated to the U.S. Disaster Relief Fund.

My name is Thomas Brush, and the neighboring cities north of my game studio are really struggling after Hurricane Helene, especially in western North Carolina. After traveling to see if the towns needed help, I decided it would be best to try and bring attention to these towns, as much of the media will not cover this.

Thousands are without power, homes are devastated, entire mountain towns have little to no road access, making it difficult to provide supplies.

With your help, we can bring much-needed aid to these towns with the help of Samaritan's Purse. Here's what they'll do, per their website:
