More information about School Supplies for Treasure Beach: School Supplies for Treasure Beach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, MN. We collect supplies for schools in southern Jamaica. We are looking for school supplies, art supplies, books, and laptops! We accept new and gently used supplies in clean, working condition. Please see our most recent wish list for most needed supplies. Or, please consider making a financial donation today!

We are excited to be returning to Treasure Beach in February 2024! Help us bring school supplies to rural Jamaica! Donations will go to:

-Purchasing items from our Wish List for Sandy Bank Primary School. ($600)

-Purchasing heavier school supplies available in Jamaica: paper, notebooks, crayons, poster-board, cleaning supplies, etc. ($800)

-A donation to Devon All Age School in Christiana, in honor of our friend Carl "Iyahras" Thomas, who passed away in February 2022. Devon All Age was his school. ($600)

About Us:

School Supplies for Treasure Beach provides school supplies, laptops, and other educational support to schools and learning centers in St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica. The schools we help are in rural areas where children can face geographical and financial limitations finding adequate school supplies.

Education is free in Jamaica through grade 6, but books, supplies, uniforms, and transportation are not free. And getting in and out of rural areas is inconvenient to nearly impossible for many kids. Additionally, after grade 6, education is paid for out of pocket by families. Tuition plus additional fees can put further financial stress on families that already struggle. Our goal is to provide extra support to help these children stay and succeed in school.

We currently need: maps, books, learning tools & manipulatives, art supplies, crafting supplies, and tablets/laptops. Please contact us to make an in-kind donation of school supplies.

We are a 501(c)(3) charity. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

-Purchasing heavier school supplies available in Jamaca: paper, notebooks, crayons, poster-board, etc for the Basic Schools in Hopewell and Billy's Bay Learning Center. ($300-$500)

-A donation to Devon All Age School in Christiana, in honor of our friend Carl "Iyahras" Thomas, who passed away in February 2022. Devon All Age was his school. ($600-$800)

-Transportation costs to deliver supplies to Hopewell and Christiana. ($200)
