Semper Fi Legacy Rescue INC

Now that we are a 501c3 we are kicking it into high gear. We are striving to live up to our Legacy. This was Mark's dream. With every animal we help, we are adding another to a long list of lives Mark has saved.

We cannot do this alone. To continue Mark's dream we need help to pay for things like vaccinations, vet visits, transportation, food, toys. All for the animals in need of saving. Together we can honor of Mark Hagenauer.

This is our sweet Domino. The poor guy just can't catch a break! When we first got him he was full of parasites. Got that fixed.

Then he came down with a cold. Almost got that all taken care of when the skin on the back of his legs started falling off!! Everyone else in his litter is doing great. It's just poor Domino that's got all the problems.

The vet determined that he needed surgery and will have a 2-3month recovery for his skin to grow back. They also took a sample of the infected skin to try and determine what the culprit could possibly be.

Despite all this Domino remains his vocal and affectionate self. He is putting on a very brave face! Any help towards his surgery and recovery would be greatly appreciated. We got quoted a little over $800 for his surgery. There will also be needs for ointments and bandaging for his 2 month recovery. If we have the funds we would love to give this sweet boy cold laser therapy to aid in his recovery.

We always want to help animals in need but don't always have enough resources to do so. With your donations we will be able to help more animals and continue helping the animals currently in our care.

Some of our current dogs and their stories:

Stewie:

Stewie is a sweet 1yr old beagle. We recently rescued him from the shelter and placed him in a foster home. He is heart worm positive. He is now the 4th dog that we have that is heart worm positive. Heart worm treatment is a long and expensive process but it is a life saving process.

Freddy:

Freddy is a old Shih Tzu mix. He was severely matted when he was taken into the shelter and after being shaved there were of course skin issues and infections discovered. He had lost one of his eyes at some point and it clearly wasn't done surgically. His empty eye socket is infected and to top it all off this poor guy caught a cold at the shelter. He is currently in a foster hospice home who is helping to get him healthy again.

These sweet puppies were rescued from the shelter. Luckily they hadn't caught a cold, but Ryder made sure things weren't too simple. He had a big umbilical hernia.

These are just some of our many sweet dogs. There are many others. Some with complicated stories and some with the basic rescue story. All were is need of help and there are many more like them. Please consider donating so that we can continue to help the many animals in need.

Molly's Story:

We got contacted about a skinny dog that was trying to survive on her own.

This little dumpster diver instantly stole our hearts!

We gave her some reacue celebration ice cream.

Then we took her straight to the vet.

Besides being very skinny, she is in good health.

She will need special food and regular vet visits to make sure she puts on weight safely.

She is in a foster home and settling in well. Any help towards her food and vet visits would be greatly appreciated!
