Support the Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter’s International Firefighters Training Association (IFTA) Program and help save lives.

Your donation will help provide lifesaving emergency and firefighting equipment, training, and supplies to firefighters and rescue workers in Mexico.

The International Firefighting Training Association (IFTA) program is a division of Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter, which has 175 Sister City relationships. Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter has developed an infrastructure for delivering emergency and firefighting equipment to several of our Sister Cities in neighboring Mexico, including Mazatlan—which received two fire engines and a fire chief SUV from their Sister City, Santa Monica,—and Puerto Vallarta—which has been the recipient of support from their Sister City, Santa Barbara, for a number of years. Both Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, two popular destinations for American tourists, have benefited from the emergency equipment that has been donated over the years. When we keep our neighbors safe, we help keep everyone safe. The Sister Cities IFTA program helped rebuild Puerto Vallarta’s fire station up to California code. This simple yet effective remodel in Puerto Vallarta allowed for separate male and female restrooms and sleeping quarters, thus advancing gender equity issues as well as emergency services.
