Sloans Lake Park Foundation is fundraising

Let's Clean Sloan's Lake!
The Sloan's Lake Park Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to the long-term preservation of Sloan's Lake and Sloan's Lake Park. We are committed to funding efforts to promote: clean water and sustainability; safe, livable and welcoming spaces; and programming and activation for all.
Working in partnership with the City of Denver, the Foundation is focused on installing Forebays in Sloan's Lake to collect sediment that is creating unhealthy water conditions. We are also focused on education and research around urban water quality.
We are asking for your support to help leverage funding from the City of Denver and other municipal partners to:
1) Complete an environmental and engineering analysis to understand the total cost to install Forebays, which would stop the inflow of sediment which is leaving our Lake in an unhealthy state;
2) Complete design and engineering on the Forebays; and
3) Complete construction of the Forebays.
We have the support of the City of Denver to advance this project, and we are working collaboratively to identify funding sources and grants to move all of these pieces forward. In the meantime, we require matching funds, research and data to support the work. These funds will be used to continue advancing the project as expeditiously as possible.
