Snow White's Rescue Cottage

Hi, I’m Tony, the heart, hands, and hamster-mom behind Snow White’s Rescue Cottage, the largest hamster-specific rescue in North America. I’m here to ask for your help in making a big and important investment in our future—one that will make life better for both me and the hundreds of hamsters that come through our doors every year.

How the money will be spent:

Right now, we’re raising $3,916 to purchase a professional caging system: the ARS 5032 from ARS Caging. This rack system will house 32 individual cages, giving us four more spaces than our current handmade racks while taking up less floor space. What’s even better is that it comes with an integrated automatic feeding and watering system, which will be life-changing for me.

Why it's needed:

This is a huge step forward for us. Our current racks, built by my amazing husband during a massive emergency intake a few years ago, have worked overtime and are starting to fall apart. We’ve patched countless chew holes and replaced lids over and over again. It’s time for something reliable, durable, and designed for long-term use.

As some of you may know, I struggle with chronic pain caused by complex scoliosis. This work is my passion, and I push through a lot of pain to care for these amazing animals. Right now, I pull each cage out individually, lug heavy water bottles, and refill every food dish by hand—this new rack system will simplify all of that.

About the new rack:

This ARS rack is high quality, which means it comes with a high price tag, but it’s worth every penny. And we’re taking advantage of their Black Friday sale to make this happen! This isn’t just an upgrade for today—this is a cage system that will come with us as we grow. My dream is to move into a larger space and increase capacity in the future, and this ARS rack will be right there with us every step of the way.
