ForChelsey
The Snowdrop Foundation , a non-profit organization, was started as a way to give Chelsey Campbell, a teenage cancer fighter who inspired other children and adults alike, a legacy. The founder of Snowdrop , radio personality Kevin Kline of Houston, Texas, started running marathons to get people to say Chelsey’s name and bring awareness to pediatric cancer. As people said Chelsey’s name, it brought attention to the heroic struggle to survive that children and their families wage everyday. The founder now runs ultra endurance races with the names of children cancer fighters on his shirt in order to raise awareness and raise money. Funds raised goes to pediatric cancer research and college scholarships to teenage cancer survivors. Chelsey is still the inspiration and the heart and soul of the cause. For her birthday this year, June 11, 2018, twelve years after her passing, we feel it is important to remind the public of why Snowdrop and its purpose is so important. So we have an idea.
Let's give Chelsey a birthday gift this year!
By June 11th, 2018, we want one or more of the following to happen in Chelsey's name:
Say her name: Have 1 Million mentions of Chelsey’s name via the hashtag #ForChelsey. It can be in tweets, retweets or engagements.
Donate: Get a minimum of 200,000 people to donate $5 to the Snowdrop Foundation in Chelsey’s name.
Be kind: For those who cannot give, we ask that anyone who wants to honor pediatric cancer fighter to perform a simple random act of kindness. You can choose to document it on social media via the use of #ForChelsey or not. Sharing the spirit and love of Chelsey is all that matters.
Spread the word: Please share Chelsey's story and any of your stories of friends or families fighting pediatric cancer.
