Hello there!
This is Manuel, Founder and CEO of Teatro SEA (Society of the Educational Arts) with some important news. On behalf of the SEA team, I will be honest with you:
We need your help!
Teatro SEA has been hit hard by the pandemic and the resulting economic challenges. Without your help, we are in danger of losing this vital institution.
Teatro SEA, the Latino Children's Theater of NY, has been a cornerstone of our community for many years, providing a safe and creative space for our children to explore their imagination, develop their artistic skills, and experience the joys of live performance. We're proud to have served thousands of families through our work, but now our organization is in jeopardy. I know we can work together to save Teatro SEA, but we'll need your help. SEA can overcome this moment of crisis and come back better than ever.
Teatro SEA is not just any theater; it's the only one of its kind in the United States. It's a place where our kids can learn about their heritage, connect with their cultural roots, and gain confidence and self-esteem through the power of the performing arts.
We are asking you to help us get through this current crisis by helping us fundraise our goal of $50,000 to support the future of bilingual children’s theater and the 3rd International Puppet Fringe Festival!
- We are the ONLY bilingual theater in New York City dedicated to Latinx children’s productions, original bilingual books for children, and quality arts-in-education workshops. We also provide adult offerings: our weekly Punto SEA cabaret nights, and our ongoing free admission program to local senior centers.
- The 3rd International Puppet Fringe Festival is a giant event that attracts brilliant puppeteers and storytellers from around the world to present here in New York City. We’ve collaborated in the past with the Puppetry Guild of New York, UNIMA-USA, Heather Henson’s Puppet Slam Network, Handmade Puppet Films, and many more to make this the greatest international puppet festival in New York City.
Without the necessary funds, I fear that we will not be able to continue bringing these events to our community, which would be a great loss for all.
We understand that times are tough for everyone right now, but any amount that you can contribute will make a real difference. Whether it's $5, $50, or $500, every dollar counts. We promise that every penny donated will go directly towards keeping our theater open and funding the Puppet Fringe Festival.
Thank you for your consideration and your generosity. It is our sincerest hope that you help Teatro SEA get through these tough times, because we need your support, now more than ever.
Saludos,
Manuel
