Support Medical Training for Wildlife Rangers-South Africa
HELP ME SUPPORT WORKING DOGS THROUGHOUT SOUTH AFRICA!!

In August, I’ll be headed to South Africa to volunteer with SFW Conservation, an NGO (501c3) out of New York, with operations in South Africa . SFW Conservation is a wildlife and biodiversity conservation organization, working to save endangered wildlife by providing training and support for wildlife rangers, empowering local communities, and supporting local partners and their conservation programs and initiatives.

SFW Conservation will be partnering with The Paradocx, an organization of SOF Medics advising and training tactical medicine in irregular warfare medical capabilities. The Paradocx will be providing a no-cost Ranger Casualty Care Course (RCCC) to Wildlife Rangers on the human medicine side. We will also provide a no-cost K9 Ranger Critical Canine Course (RCCC)to several Wildlife Ranger-K9 Handler teams across the country. I will be providing the training for the K9 RCCC!!

Wildlife Rangers are the front line against poaching, and the protection of endangered species globally, including Pangolins, which I love so dearly!!

Racing Against Extinction

In an effort to help protect wildlife, increase anti-poaching units, and to provide grass-roots education for local communities in Africa, I am dedicating my Spartan North American Championship Series race to the life-saving work of Soldiers for Wildlife!

What does this mean? Well, it means I am committed to sweating to protect wildlife as I conquer the 12 mile, 30+ obstacle course complete with rope climbs, miles of hills, a freezing swim, atlas carries, traverses, spear throws, and more! How did I get here? After placing first at Spartan Angel's Stadium in July, I qualified for the North American championship which I will be competing in on September 25th in Tahoe.

Real talk: I have been training hard, but what matters the most to me right now is raising this money. Why? Because all of the funds generated will be helping Soldiers for Wildlife acquire an extremely valuable anti-poaching dog named, Ocho! Ocho is a German Short Haired Pointer specializing in tracking humans and is currently being trained to safeguard populations of wildlife from poaching in South Africa. Right now, remaining cost estimates for Ocho's training and transport are estimated to be $5,000. This adorable pup is currently being trained in America before graduating and heading off to his forever home with Soldiers for Wildlife in South Africa.

How can you help us and this planet? By donating to this fundraiser, engaging with the work of Soldiers for Wildlife, and sending me all the positive vibes you can to safely and successfully conquer this race! It truly is up to each of us to fight back against those seeking to harm of our planet's most beautiful and vulnerable species. Their endangerment not only threatens future populations, but also valuable ecosystems that so many near and far communities depend on. Anything and everything helps Ocho. And I will be channeling all the energy you send as encouragement to keep going while I am out there sweating to protect!

Game Rangers - car crash
Hi everyone, unfortunately 3 days ago a few of our game scouts got into a bad car accident which caused the car to flip. The game scouts have suffered multiple inquires and the vehicle is in bad shape.

If anyone would be willing to help us pay for medical bills and getting started on fixing the vehicle we use for work would be extremely helpful.

FIJI Philanthropy Fall 2019- Soldiers for Wildlife
The Mu Chi chapter of the International Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) at James Madison University is raising money for an organization called Soldiers For Wildlife (SFW). SFW is an anti-poaching non-profit based in the United States with operations in Zambia and South Africa. The wildlife organization has a special place in our hearts as the CEO and Founder, John Garcia, and one of the Directors of Business Operations, Ian Griffin, are both graduate brothers of our fraternity at JMU. John, Ian, and the rest of the team at SFW are working to prevent the genocide of Africa’s most iconic species, such as the Southern White Rhinoceros and African Bush Elephants. The organization has already made a monumental difference in the lives of hundreds of endangered animals, but with poaching not slowing down, SFW and their rangers need our help. We would love to say thank you in advance for any donation you make or for simply sharing the link with your friends. Every dollar donated gives the animals a fighting chance.
