URGENT…. NO KILL SHELTER needs help paying for TREVOR’s lifesaving surgery and aftercare. Vet bills are $3,554.69 and we are pulling from funds that we can’t afford to spend. Monies earmarked for daily care of all the animals in our care. WE NEED YOUR HELP

We noticed Trevor’s leg looked swollen. He was immediately seen by a vet and put on antibiotics. Another vet consulted and told us he needed an additional antibiotic and that it could be a spider

bite. Well, the leg got worse AND FAST! We went to clean it and discovered that there was an oozing gash and the flesh around it was necrotic (dying). Everything happened within three days. The vet that we sent him to referred him to AVS for a surgical consultation. Upon arriving there, he was kept overnight so it could be cleaned, monitored, and rebandaged in the morning. The dying skin was cut away and he was sewn up. He has to go twice a week for bandage replacement and cleaning. They discovered that the infection was not responding to either antibiotic and had to change course. Now Trevor is receiving daily injections of hardcore antibiotics every twelve hours. He is going again tomorrow for another bandage change. He is almost finished with his antibiotics. We are keeping him on kennel rest. He is thankfully in very good spirits

Hi everyone! My name is Ford and I am a veterinary technician who works with rescues fostering kittens. I mainly help with kittens who need to be bottle fed. I was brought 3 kittens around the beginning of April '24. I have watched these babies grow from helpless creatures the size of a plum, to 4 pound spaz attacks! They are named after professors from Hogwarts...Sirius, Minerva, and Severus! They are almost ready to go back into the shelter for adoption. A week ago I noticed Severus had some cloudiness in one of his eyes. I brought him in to work with me to see the veterinarian I work with and he has been diagnosed with juvenile cataracts. They are in both eyes, but one is more significant than the other.

The good news is, this is totally treatable. The bad news is it is surgical and will cost anywhere from $4-5k!!!

The shelter I foster for is a relatively smaller shelter, who will be hit hard by the cost of a work up and surgery with a specialist.

They are old enough to be placed for adoption, but we all know how hard it is going to be to place a kitten who needs an expensive surgery. So I am asking for help so we can give little Severus his best chance at keeping his eyesight, and the ability to be placed in a home without becoming a financial issue for whoever falls in love with him!

We're in a race against time to save a brave German Shepherd who's fighting to recover from a broken leg and a series of harrowing experiences. The vet bills have skyrocketed, and without immediate help, this resilient pup's chance at a better life hangs in the balance.

After multiple sightings of a scared dog in New Smyrna Beach, was finally caught, only to have her escape during transport. She was found again, limping severely and brought to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society where she was rushed to the vet. X-rays confirmed a broken leg. Our vet bills are already steep, amounting to $1,085.52 for immediate care. But the lifesaving surgery she desperately needs will cost $8,842.03.

Our shelter, committed to saving every life, sees her not as just another case but as a soul in desperate need. Your donations are her lifeline, paving the way for her surgery and eventual adoption into a loving home.

This sweet soul whom we have named Phoenix has faced unimaginable trials but hasn't lost her spirit. She's highly adoptable, and with your help, she can heal and find the happiness she deserves.

Meet Van Gogh, a brave kitten rescued from a car engine with a severely torn and damaged ear. He underwent life-saving surgery at the Emergency Animal Hospital, but sadly, his ear had to be removed, leaving him deaf in one ear.

We come to you with an urgent plea for help! Jane, a brave mother cat, gave birth to seven adorable kittens on July 23rd at Southeast Volusia Humane Society. However, her joy quickly turned into a nightmare when she faced life-threatening complications. We rushed her to the emergency hospital on the night of July 25th, where our worst fears were confirmed – Jane's uterus had burst, causing a massive infection throughout her body.

Emergency Surgery: Jane underwent a critical emergency surgery to save her life. Thanks to the dedicated veterinarians, the surgery was successful, but her journey to recovery is far from over.

Stabilizing Jane: As we write this, Jane is still in the hospital, bravely fighting to heal and return to her kittens. Our team is working tirelessly to stabilize her condition and bring down her fever.

Kittens' Journey: Thanks to the incredible support from our community, we have good news to share! Three of Jane's kittens have been accepted by another nursing mom, who is providing them with the love and care they need to thrive. Additionally, the other four kittens are under the loving care of a dedicated foster mom, who is bottle-feeding them around the clock.

Want to join me in making a difference? 7 year old Kaos (don’t let the name fool you) is in urgent need of a third, and hopefully, final oral surgery. As a No Kill Shelter that is donation based, we have to raise funds to cover the high costs associated with some of these lifesaving procedures. Kaos had once belonged to a happy family and when his owner died, he was passed to somebody that basically left him tied up outside for two years and he was in horrible condition when he was eventually surrendered to our shelter. Since taking him in, we discovered that his mouth was in horrible shape, he had to have extractions and had such terrible infections that went up into his sinus cavity. Currently his bill is at $2,000 and he needs one final oral surgery that will be done at the same time that he is neutered. We are working on getting his skin issues under control and he’s currently being spoiled rotten in a loving foster home. We need to raise $3,000 for this courageous pup that deserves a new lease on life. PLEASE HELP US GET TO OUR GOAL ….
