KC Blocked Esophagus huge Vet Bill
KC is a kitten that has had a hard time in his short life. First we (Southern Counties Rescue) got a call about a kitten trapped under a house. We got help, a kind policeman got the kitten out from under the house. He was only 3 weeks old and he was the only surviver.
KC was doing well in his foster home until last Sunday when he started vomiting. Monday morning he was rushed to the vet's office where he was hospitalized, x-rays were taken using Barium to see if a blockage but KC was still no better after 2 days. Tuesday night we drove him to the closest 24 hour vet facility that can handle more seriously ill kittens.
At VCA Animal Medical Center in San Diego they determined he now had Pneumonia, from aspirating Barium and they think there may be a blockage to his Esophagus.
Poor KC now lays in an Oxygen tent with an IV trying to get over his Pneumonia so he is strong enough for a cat scan and possible sugery. He is holding his own and in good spirits, so we have hope he will make it.
Our bill is well over the $2156.00 original estimate and climbing.
We need donations to help pay his vet bill so he can have a chance of living a long cat's life. Please help us.
