Memorial Field Renovation
The Sparta Area School District's Board of Education has approved a $3.25 million renovation project for Sparta Memorial Field resulting from Fund 46 - a fund specifically slated for capital improvement projects. This project includes a new 1,700-person grandstand, new press box, updated sound system, new LED lighting, new scoreboard, 3-lane walking track, turf field, and a spectacular raised plaza that overlooks the field. Roughly $350,000 of the project will be funded by the Sparta Gridiron Club, along with help from Sparta Soccer and the Sparta Dance Team. We are incredibly excited to be partnered with the district in this project to bring our student-athletes an impressive athletic facility that will be the envy of the Coulee Region.
This facility will see community use and be used year-round by other sports, clubs, and community organizations. Construction of this project has begun and is scheduled to be done by the start of the fall football season. Please consider partnering with us in this excellent community project.
