Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple, Atlanta
Jay Gajanan everyone!
Hope you and your family continue to get the blessings of Maharaj.
We have Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple hosted as part of Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple of Atlanta. We have hosted many of your beloved Deities for over10 years. We have been worshiping Sri Satyanarayana Swamy, Sri Ayyappa Swamy, Lord Ganesha, Sri Durga Ma, Lord Shiva and Sri Nagaraj and helping all get the blessings for the your health, family and welfare. We have been the worship place for Sri Gajanan Maharaj devotes in Georgia for last four plus years and have also been hosting Sri Shirdi Sai baba for over two years.
As the beloved guru for many of devotees in USA, Shree Gajanan Maharaj Devotees parivar is always increasing in all the cities in USA. The dedicated devotees have built over five Maharaj temples in USA so far, the first ever being at Atlanta, GA. Today we have Maharaj temples in Houston and Dallas in Texas, Chicago, Illinois, San Francisco, CA and Atlanta, GA with many more on the way in various cities.
Atlanta Maharaj temple is always the central place for all the devotees to visit from the neighboring states of Tennessee, Florida and Carolinas.
Out of the love for Shri Gajanan Maharaj, devotees perform following rituals at Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple. These match to a great extent the daily rituals performed at Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple at Shegaon. These are, Kakad (to wake up) Aarti, Abhishek, Afternoon Aarti, Evening Aarti, Shej (to sleep) Aarti.
Due to the convenience of devotees attending the aartis, generally we swap evening and night aarti, especially on Thursday. Many devotees attend the Shej Aarti on Thursday at 8:00 PM EST. We would request your presence at the temple on Thursday and seek Maharaj's blessings.
We have the following 5 annual events that are celebrated in the Temple. They are listed below in the order of appearance in a calendar year,
I. Pragat Din (Appearance Diwas) – Usually around February
