The St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society, founded in 2011, seeks to promote greater knowledge and understanding of the Jewish experience in St. Augustine within a broad cultural context from the founding of the City in 1565 to the present.
The Jewish history of St. Augustine, Florida is one of the great untold chapters of Jewish History.  We hope to recruit partners to tell the story of those who came ashore in our community, Crypto-Jews, Conversos, Marranos, Sephardim, Ashkenazim and others.
