We at St. Gabriel Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church of Greater New York plan to buy a permanent spiritual home for our church. For over thirty years, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Harlem has been generous enough to allow our congregation to use their basement chapel once in every two weeks. Now, our congregation has grown to the point where we need a church of our own to best serve the Tri-State area, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Once we own a church, we will be able to build a solid foundation for our children and community where all can have spiritual refuge in the church and preserve their cultural identity.

We have been trying to find a church of our own for a very long time, but property in the New York City area is extremely expensive, precluding any purchase. Fortunately, we have recently found a property in Yonkers, NY, which, with your help, is within our price range.

We have raised close to $200,000 from our members and supporters. Currently, we need an additional $400,000 to purchase the property and $100,000 to procure the necessary repairs.

We humbly appeal for your kindness and generosity. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7.7,

ንሕና ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ናይ ኤርትራ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ኒውዮርክን ከባቢኣን፡ ንልዕሊ ሰላሳ ዓመታት ብሓገዝ ካቶሊካዊት ቤ.ክ. ክንግልገል ድሕሪ ምጽናሕ፡ ሎሚ ብሓገዝኩምን ጸሎትኩምን፡ ባዕልና ንውንኖ ቤ.ክ. ንምግዛእ ተዳሊና ኣለና። ስለዚ ዓቕምኹም ብዝፈቅዶ መጠን ወፈያኹም ንኽትልግሱልና ብሽም ቅዱስ ገብርኤል መልኣኽ ንምሕጸነኩም።

መጽሓፍ ቅዱስ ከም ዝብለና፡ ኣብ ማቴ 7፡7-8፡ ለምኑ ክወሃበኩ እዩ፡ ድለዩ ክትረኽቡ ኢኹም፡ ማዕጾ ዃሕኩሑ ክረሓወልኩም እዩ፡ ዝብል ጥቅሲ መጽሓፍ ቅዱስ እናጠቐስና ናባኹም ንልምን ኣለና። ከም እትፈልጥዎ፡ ቅዱስ ገብርኤል መልኣኽ፡ ኣዳምን ሔዋንን ብዝፈጸምዎ ጌጋ ምስተሰጉ ናብ ገነት ከምዝምለሱ ኣጸናኒዒዎም እዩ። ንኣዴና ቅድስቲ ድንግል ማሪያም፡ ንእየሱስ ክትወልዲ ኢኺ ብምባል ኣበሲርዋ እዩ። ንኣናኒያ ኣዛሪያን ሚሳኤልን፡ ካብ ሓዊ ኣድሒንዎም እዩ።

ክቡራት ህዝበ ክርስቲያን፡ ቅዱስ ገብርኤል መልኣኽ ካብ ኩሉ ተጻብኦ፡ ክንፉ ዘርጊሑ ክሕልወኩም፡ ኩሉ ግዜ ብጸሎትና ክንዝክረኩም ኢና።
