Showers of Blessings is an ecumenical outreach ministry to the homeless people in North County San Diego. It is sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and coordinated by members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Del Mar; St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Encinitas; St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlsbad; San Dieguito United Methodist Church, Encinitas; and First Christian Church, Oceanside. We provide a hot
shower opportunity for our homeless guests, as well as breakfast, clothing and haircuts, free of charge. We are in need of a 2nd trailer unit in order to service the homeless population in North County. This second unit will relieve the burden on our one (primary) shower unit that travels throughout San Diego County. This will also enable us to provide showers on more days for the people we serve in North County. Your donation is much appreciated as it will enable us to alleviate some of the burden of our homeless community while they strive to get back on their feet.
