BREAKING NEWS: Haitian survivors urgently need your help after a massive earthquake struck the country. Experts are expecting losses to be high. Stand Up to Poverty is currently on the ground in Haiti, but they need your help.

The deaths from a 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Haiti climbed to 1,300 a day after the powerful earthquake turned thousands of structures into rubble and set off frantic rescue efforts ahead of a potential severe flood from an approaching tropical storm. (Aug. 15)

At least 2,800 injured, and more than 7,000 homes were destroyed and nearly 5,000 damaged.

Haiti can’t catch a break. As the tropical storm approaches, survivors are sleeping outside as water born diseases develop. Logistics are challenging for safe travel to hard hit areas and COVID-19 runs rampant as the country mourns the loss of the gruesome murder of their president Jovenel Moise a month before.
