Help Parents Protect Their Kids From Addiction
Our son was drinking and using drugs in increasingly dangerous ways. Every time he went out, we dreaded that something terrible would happen.
It was excruciating to see our son becoming addicted. We knew he was spiraling downward, but we didn't know what to do about it.
Now, you can help parents and teenagers who are struggling. Simply by Sharing.
Looking back, I know I made mistakes during those times. I got angry when I should have stayed calm and lectured when I should have listened. As the turmoil of addiction increased, life became a whirlwind of insanity, and we had no idea what to do.
Much later, I learned that it doesn’t have to be that way. Because there are things parents can do to protect their kids from addiction and help them lead a happier life.
I'm Steve Ward, and our family’s painful experiences led me to leave my company last year to found a new nonprofit that is focused on the prevention of addiction.
So we can fight for those struggling with emotional issues or addiction. To honor the ones who are gone, and support the many who have lost someone they love.
You can fight for hurting people too. The next right steps are Donate now and Share.
What You Will Help Us Do
In January, we are taking a leap of faith to launch a new program to reach tens of thousands of parents to help them protect their kids against addiction. We don't currently have the funds to pay for this project, so we need your help.
The need is great, and timing is urgent. And your donation is tax deductible.
This Proactive Parenting initiative will utilize proven content and modern digital marketing to reach out to many thousands of parents. With your help, we will:
1. Use Facebook and other social media to present parents with an article or short video to increase their awareness of the issues their kids may be dealing with.
2. Offer them a free assessment tool to help them determine the risks their kids are facing and take steps to prevent issues from getting worse.
3. Make information and courses available to help protect their kids from addiction.
We need $30,000 beyond our current budget to build and deliver content to help people improve their lives, grow closer to God, and prevent addiction.
Your donation will help parents protect their sons and daughters from addiction:
- $5 lets us reach out to 500 parents via Facebook.
- $50 allows us to reach 5000 parents via Facebook.
- $500 funds assessment tools for a church or school.
- $5000 equips us to build a course to help more parents.
If you can't donate, you can still help. Click the Share button to spread the word.
You Can Make a Difference
The most exciting breakthrough in fighting the addiction epidemic is Prevention!
Our nonprofit's Proactive Parenting initiative works with parents to protect their kids from addiction and help them lead a happier life.
Pressures on kids and teenagers are worse than ever before, and no family is safe from addiction. But, with the right information and training, parents can help their kids lead a happier life and avoid or lessen the dangers of addiction.
About 75% of high school students try some type of addictive substance, and 40-50% participate in using drugs, drinking alcohol, or both. And 90% of Americans with addiction started before the age of 18.
Risks facing youth today from drugs, alcohol, depression, anxiety, and suicide are wide-spread and dangerous. And it can happen in any family.
But you can help. Please Donate now. Then, Share this with others. Thank you!
